My old Redmi Note 5 worked instantly on fingerprint learn. Mi Mi10T Lite took me several minutes, could not get thumb to work, but on perseverance forefinger did. Kept having to move the whole finger over the sensor time and time again, could see the map building slowly. So, persevere it is doable !
