My wife is thinking of buying a Skoda Yeti 1.2 TSI with a manual gearbox and wants a car for up to 10 years although the mileage will not be high at around 7000 miles annually. Probably looking at a 2015 registered model. I have read that there have been quite a few low mileage problems, especially around the cam chain.

I initially discounted the Yeti as a suitable tow car due to its weight, and have been researching the Superbs instead. However, I notice the diesel 4x4 Yetis are heavier and can tow up to 2,100kg. Asked on 17 March 2023 by Bill Munk. Answered by David Ross. The Skoda Yeti is a good choice if you are looking for a roomy and practical car. Although some versions have some off-road ability there are also several versions that are front-wheel-drive only, which means better fuel consumption.
