I know this is a little late, but I have an A6 with the 3.0 TDI engine. It's been a good car for me. In the winter I only average 32mpg, but it was only 5°F today. In the summer I can easily get 40-42mpg highway. If you used cruise control and drove very conservative you can do better.

I see that the emission recall provides extra warranty from in-service date so that would roughly be around 2023 or 2024.

Generation 1 vehicles are 2009 to 2012 Volkswagen Touaregs and Audi Q7s, with the first two years of each model considered sub-generation 1.1, and the last two sub-generation 1.2.
2015 Audi A3 2.0 TDI Premium Plus 4dr Sedan but that was a long time ago and I had recently read that Audi reliability was #3 or #4 out of all brands, so I took a leap o' faith.
